R&B royalty TLC revealed that there’s one thing they won’t do, which is appear as a cast member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas the sat down to discuss their new tour and among other things, that they’ve both been contacted to be a part of the show. T-Boz said she was contacted four times, while Chilli claims she was contacted twice.
“I did [a cameo] for Kandi [Burruss] one time,” she said, explaining why she said no. “This is the thing, I don’t play like that. Like, I’m not arguing, I’m too old to be arguing and first of all, I don’t argue with nobody I don’t care about. If I care about you, I will take the time to do this. But I’m not arguing with no grown women. I’ll end up going to jail for real. Like, I don’t do that.”
“And I wouldn’t be able to bail her out because I would be right there with her!” Chilli added. T-Boz said her bad temper would get the best of her.
“It’s not the fact that you’re throwing digs to try to hurt somebody it’s not the fact that you’re being disrespectful just because,” T-Boz said. “And bullhorns in people’s faces then you want to call lawyers. Like you can’t do disrespectful things and think you’re not going to get hit or something.”
Chilli made it clear that she feels the behavior is spread across all the housewives franchises, not just Atlanta.
“They’re all acting the same way and we have a brand to protect and there’s just no way,” she said.
Both T-Boz and Chilli said they’d rather spend their time working on other projects and that joining the housewives franchise doesn’t align with their brand.
The duo is going back on the road this summer with rapper Nelly and Flo Rida, for a totally nostalgic summer concert series.
